Princess Diana of Themyscira (also known as Wonder Woman or Diana Prince) is one of the main characters in the second generation of the DC Super Hero Girls franchise. She is a member and leader of the Super Hero Girls, the daughter of Queen Hippolyta, and a student at Metropolis High School.
Why She's Wonderful As Usual
- She's a very likable hero who she and her friends are willing to stop crime in Metropolis.
- Her voice acting is great, as she was voiced by Grey Griffin.
- Her friendship with her friends is wonderful, especially with the rest of the Super Hero Girls, her crush Steve, and Tatsu.
- Speaking of Tatsu, she helped Tatsu see the error of her ways, as she protected an innocent (who Tatsu thought was a criminal), sacrificing her soul, which made Tatsu upset. That’s when she realized she’s not being the hero that she wants to be, and she frees all the souls she captured, including her friends, and the villains, much to Diana’s happiness. They have been great friends and allies since then.
- She is a thoughtful, intelligent leader, able to lead her team to victory in countless situations.
- She has good talents as well, such as communicating with animals and learning their language.
- Diana is passionate about her mother (and other superheroes), and she is willing to do what it takes to have her mother acknowledge her as a hero.
- In fact, there was a time Diana stood up against her mother, telling her that she wants to be a hero, which the Queen respects. Then, another time, Diana stood up against her for not accepting her new lifestyle in Metropolis, which the Queen then respects, and their mother-daughter bond grows closer, as the Queen says she’s proud of her, much to Diana’s happiness.
- Whenever something bad happens, she immediately looks on the bright side and gets to resolving it.
- Her character design is cute.
- She has a lot of funny and iconic moments in the series.
- In fact, she’s not only a good reboot of Wonder Woman (from the first incarnation of DC SHG) done right, she’s also basically Starfire form Teen Titans GO! done right. Both characters are wacky superhero comedy protagonists, but Wonder Woman is far more likable, has more action scenes, and has a cuter character design.
- Speaking of Starfire from TTG!, she has a good friendship with her in "Superhero Fued" and "Space House".
Bad Qualities
- Her obsession with Steve Trevor is an annoying and sexist gag.
- She can be confused with some of Earth’s normal customs, such as using technology, though she is learning to use them properly.
- She sometimes can be unlikable at times or have episodes that show her at her worst such as Scrambled Eggs (the show's version of Get the Hock Out from Buddy Thunderstruck) and Frenemies.
Trivia
- Unlike her previous incarnations, Grey Griffin uses a Mediterranean accent to voice this version of Wonder Woman.
