Media of origin: The Incredible Hulk

The Hulk is a fictional superhero appearing in publications by the American publisher Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in the debut issue of The Incredible Hulk (May 1962).

Why He Smashes (In A Good Way)

    1. His character design is really cool and different comparing to the other superheroes in the Marvel universe.
    2. He's one of the original six Avengers (The others being Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye).
    3. Mark Ruffalo portrays Hulk/Bruce Banner exceptionally well, even better than Edward Norton.
    4. When he's Bruce Banner, he tries to avoid his anger issues and he stays calm and he's overall a friendly guy who doesn't want to hurt anybody when he's not angry.
    5. He's surprisingly shown to be strong enough to not take damage as seen from his strongest form which is the World Breaker Hulk.
    6. His famous quote: "HULK SMASH!!!"
    7. His best moment in Avengers: Endgame where he undos Thanos' actions by snapping his finger on the Iron Glove, bringing back half of the population back to life.
    8. He has a lot of crazy talents making him the strongest Avenger as seen above as he survived black holes, catch Quick Silver at full speed, and bust planets with a few planets and was immune to viruses.
    9. There are also sometimes where he's a villain and threat like in Marvel Zombies, Old Man Logan, Ultimate Marvel, and World War Hulk along with spawning a cool rival named "Red Hulk".
    10. His roar in The Incredible Hulk is scary, intimidating and angry. All at the same time.
    11. His appearance in his 2003 solo film is very cool. They even had him grow a bit larger when he gets angrier, making this another example of "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."

    Bad Qualities

    1. While his character design is cool. It's safe to say it can sometimes be disturbing to some people including some people who aren't used to Marvel.
    2. Unfortunately, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continued, the Hulk ultimately became nerfed to the point where he's not that strong. While he was at his strongest in Thor: Ragnarok. Starting from Avengers: Infinity War, it turned the character into a coward who would rather hide away rather than fight after losing a battle with Thanos and Avengers: Endgame completely gets rid of the Hulk's angry and brutal ways by combining him and Bruce Banner into one complete entity.
      • Also, speaking of Infinity War, he was only in the movie for a few scenes, despite being featured in many posters and trailers.
        • It was later confirmed that Hulk would've had an arc where he became Professor Hulk during the third act of the movie, but it was scrapped in favor of a separate movie, while Professor Hulk was introduced in the sequel.
    3. He needs to always deal with the monster inside especially from his abusive father, Brian, who wants to get rid of him and his "monster" gene.
    4. In the Ultimate Universe run in the comics, the Hulk was horribly, and we mean HORRIBLY, flanderized to the point where you wonder if this is the Hulk you remember as a kid.
