Spider-Man (aka Peter Parker) is a cameo character in Iron Man 2, a major supporting character in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, a minor character in Avengers: Endgame, the titular main protagonist of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

He is a super-enhanced being with a high intellect and is skilled in costumed super-hero fighting. He acts under the alias of ‘Spider-Man’ in order to protect NYC from its criminal underworld. He was recruited by Iron Man and helps him and his group of Avengers to defeat Captain America's faction of Avengers during the civil war that erupted between the two factions due to their differing views on the Sokovia Accords. 

Why He Rocks

1. Out of all of the Spider-Mans from the live action films, Tom Holland has accurately captured both Spider-Man's and Peter Parker's portrayal from the original comics completely 100%. In fact, in an interview with Stan Lee, he stated that Tom Holland's portrayal is exactly how he pictured Spider-Man back when he created the character.
2. Peter Parker is shown to be a loyal, friendly, highly intelligent but shy and socially awkward 15 year old teenage superhero.
3. He was well introduced Captain America: Civil War, and because of it, his respective solo movie didn't need to be an origin story and instead picked up from where it left after Civil War.
4. Since the start of his superhero career, Peter kept his Spider-Man identity a secret from the world and to avoid joining school bands and football teams in an attempt to protect his powers and identity.
5. Since he was offered to join the Avengers Civil War by Tony Stark/Iron Man, Peter became eager and excited to become an Avenger, even if he was told he was not ready yet.
6. After his successful mission of defeating the Vulture and his crew from stealing Avengers equipment, Peter realized that he needs to learn a lot more before becoming an official Avenger which Tony Stark applauded. 
7. He is also adept at making incredibly annoying jokes which sometimes annoys or irritates his allies and enemies, which is a usual for Spider-Man.
8. He vowed to never cause any reckless actions, since the Skirmish on the Staten Island Ferry incident.
9. Peter shares an amazing best friend chemistry with Ned and his relationship with Michelle is very deep and well-handled.
10. Despite all the mistakes he has made, Peter still has good intentions and would always try to do the right thing, and would also use his mistakes as a learning experiences as he becomes more aware of his flaws and more determined to rise above them.
11. He has high knowledge of film and pop culture, such as Star Wars, which he abuses and even helps him in taking down adversaries.
12. His unfortunately memorable death scene (featuring the line, "I don't feel so good) in Avengers: Infinity War, which has brought the world into tears and emotional uncertainty.
13. His grief over Tony Stark's death is also reminiscent of Uncle Ben's death in other adaptations, which is also really emotional.
14. He goes through a major character development in Far From Home and No Way Home.
    • He once was a naive kid trying to be his best in becoming a superhero, but after the death of Tony, Peter felt like the responsibility of being the best Iron Man is left in his hands now.
15. The moment where he meets his alternate versions in No Way Home is emotional, pretty intense and well-done.
16. His final scene in No Way Home was extremely heartbreaking and showed some great character development, as the only way to send Tobey, Andrew and the redeemed villains home is to make Dr. Strange cast a spell which made everybody forget who he is. Strange then proceeded to do the spell, sent the Spideys and villains home, and caused everybody to forget who Peter Parker is. After he saw Ned and MJ ignoring him in the cafe while talking about their new college. Peter then went back to his apartment, made a new suit and swung through NYC as a true hero.

Bad Qualities

1. In Avengers: Infinity War, Peter serves more as a comic relief than an actual major character, and doesn't get to shine as well as he could, despite helping fight Thanos. While this also happened in Captain America: Civil War, it worked there because it was his first MCU appearance, while here, though understandable because of the huge list of characters, it can feel very off here for major Spider-Man fans who expected him to have a significant role, especially after his first solo movie.
2. Peter Parker can be stubborn and headstrong, disobeying Tony Stark (an Avenger) several times. He can also be reckless as he tends to act before he thinks, as those traits caused him to make various mistakes.
3. He can often feel like a sidekick to other superheroes compared to most depictions.
4. His origin story is frequently glossed over.
5. He may regret it later, but it was foolish of him to trust Mysterio and giving him E.D.I.T.H., which allowed him to take control of the drones, orchestrate a fusion of all the Elementals, and nearly kill all of Peter's friends in the process, not to mention Mysterio later revealing his true identity to the entire world, causing the events of No Way Home to happen.
6. He ruined Doctor Strange's spell by constantly telling to make his friends and family to remember as Spider-Man. It caused Andrew Garfield's Spidey, Tobey Maguire's Spidey, and the other villains to come through to Earth-19999.
