    Slinky Dog (better known as Slinky) is a supporting character in the Toy Story franchise. He is a toy dachshund who speaks with a graveled Southern accent. Slinky possesses a plastic front and hindquarters, with a very stretchable metal slinky as his middle (hence his name), vinyl ears and a green collar.

    Why He's Golly Bob-Howdy!

    1. He's often very nice and a loyal friend to Woody.
    2. His design is downright adorable.
    3. Jim Varney did a great job voicing him. Blake Clark even givesd a decent performance.
    4. He was one of the only toys to actually believe Woody when he said that he pushed Buzz out of the window by accident.
    5. The toy he was based on was a popular toy.
    6. If you ever get into trouble, you could expect this dog to save you.
    7. He has a memorable line which is "Golly bob-howdy!"
    8. He has some funny moments.
    9. He cares a lot about the toys, especially Woody.
    10. He, along with the rest of Andy's toys and Forky, had an emotional and heartwarming goodbye to Woody at the end of the fourth film, as Woody decided to stay with Bo Peep.
    11. He is one of the most memorable Toy Story characters.

    The Only Bad Quality

    1. He was treated pretty badly by Woody in the Black Friday Reel and he was one of Andy's least played toys.

    Trivia

    • For unknown reasons, in Toy Story 3, his eyebrows are thinner than in the first two movies.
    • Jim Varney passed away on February 10, 2000 due to lung cancer.
    • He might be one of Toy Story's most popular characters.
