Rowley Jefferson is an American middle school student and the deuteragonist of the book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Why He Is An Awesome Friendly Kid

    1. He is a very caring person, even to Greg despite him being a poor friend at times.
    2. His childish qualities are portrayed in a wholesome way, which also contributes to him being well-liked among other characters in the series.
    3. It's rather satisfying when he manages to call Greg out for his misdoings, and in some cases it even gets Greg to regret his actions.
    4. While a bit unorthodox, his design in the books is still pretty decent.
    5. Robert Capron did a great job portraying him in the original movie trilogy.
    6. He openly shows regret when he feels he has done something wrong, most notably when his parents were disappointed in him meeting back with them far too late.
    7. For the most part, he is quite humble about the (often unintentional) success stories he has.

    Bad Qualities

    1. He had some egotistical moments during his time with Abigail.
    2. His childish qualities have occasionally gotten to the point of flanderization.

    Trivia

    • Rowley is the only character outside Greg's immediate family to appear in every book (although his appearance in The Long Haul was only a flashback).
