Robin is the avatar character in Fire Emblem: Awakening. They are a Tactician who uses magic spells from their book of tomes, and fights alongside their friend Chrom for a majority of the game.
Why He/She Rocks
As an avatar, Robin's gender can be either male or female, as is the case with any other avatar. Robin even has the second most customizable designs when creating him/her.
Beside their tome book, Robin also battles using their Levin Sword,
Robin has a unique backstory where they develop amnesia because he was too weak to retain Grima's memories in the present. This leads to his quest to get his memories back. Despite losing their memory, Robin is still very knowledgable about battling.
Female Robin marrying Chrom will result in her becoming the Queen of Ylisse, and the birth of Lucina.
Alternatively, Male Robin being married to Lucina results in her not going through will her attempt to kill him.
Both Genders of Robin have a great character design.
David Vincent and Michelle Ruff do an excellent job voicing Robin in the character's respective gendered forms.
Grima's battle will have a random ending depending on Robin's choice, slay Grima with their own hand, or allow Chrom to slay Grima himself.
Because Grima put his memories into Robin, they will sometimes have certain memories from their future, and see into the future overall. This is how Robin visioned themself killing Chrom in the game's prolouge.
The Only Bad Quality
Robin can sometimes be shown as a punching bag to Chrom as he always relies on him.
