Rick Sanchez is one of the title characters of Rick and Morty. He is the grandfather of Morty and Summer Smith, Beth's father, the father-in-law of Jerry Smith, and a mad scientist. He is voiced by co-creator Justin Roiland in the first six seasons.

Why He's "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!" To Us

1. Almost everything that comes out of his mouth is hilarious and makes people laugh.
2. He has established himself as the smartest man in the universe, having developed interdimensional travel via the portal gun as well as various other gadgets.
3. While he can often be harsh on his grandson Morty, he has shown that he genuinely cares a lot for Morty and is willing to put his life at risk for him.
   • He has also shown care for his friends as well, such as Mr. Poopybutthole, Squanchy, and Birdperson.
4. He has generated several memorable quotes such as "Wubba Lubba Dub-Dub", "There is no God", and several others.
   • He also briefly used a flattering new catchphrase in the form of "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!!!"
5. He serves as a perfect parody of Doc Brown from Back to the Future (Fun fact: he started life as a more straightforward parody of Doc Brown before Rick and Morty was developed into a show).
6. I turned myself into a pickle, Morty. I'M PICKLE RICK!
7. His constant alcohol-induced belching is a hilarious and endearing quirk.
8. He can be a jerk most of the time, but he does have care towards his family, even though they don't agree with everything Rick does.

Bad Qualities

1. He can act like a huge jackass and be hypocritical at times.
   • He can also be very lazy at times. He has the energy to build a robot to serve him butter, but he can't at least reach the butter from the table.
2. His belching can get on people's nerves once in a while.
3. Although he's the self-proclaimed smartest man in the universe, he has also shown a few moments of stupidity as well.
4. He has once caused the destruction of humanity using a serum he invented.
5. Rick may not be 100% responsible, he is still placed guilty to why a vengeful variant of Morty turned out the way he did, and the things he's done such as tyranny, and genocide on the Citadel.
