"I have never been the adventuring type myself. Too uh, heh, too dangerous."
    Gender: Male
    Type: Energetic, yet helpful, intern
    Age: Adult
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Yuri Lowenthal
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2

Radar is a deuteragonist and Jesse's assistant/intern in Minecraft: Story Mode Season Two. He first appeared in "Hero in Residence". He initially starts off as a meek, shy intern but progresses into a brave adventurer.

    Why He's a Great Intern

    1. He's a very helpful intern towards Jesse, as he is incredibly organized and works hard to complete his work. Best displayed when he gets the Founding Day activities completed while Jesse is on an adventure with Petra.
    2. His energetic nature is very humorous and adorable.
    3. He develops from being a cowardly intern that runs at the first sight of danger towards becoming braver and more confrontational as the story goes on. Alongside developing his "Prison Radar" persona as a way to survive in the Sunshine Institute.
    4. If Jesse leaves Radar behind in "Below the Bedrock" then he'll rescue Jesse and the gang from the Colossus by using the Giant Enderman to distract it, best displaying his immense growth of bravery and his loyalty towards Jesse and the gang. Despite this action being determined by the player's choices, it's still incredibly impressive that Radar was able to pull off such a feat.
    5. While it may not seem like much, Radar being able to quit working for Stella is very impressive. Especially if one considers how manipulative and cunning Stella is with controlling her workers and Champion City citizens, it could be considered to be a very bold and courageous action that Radar was able to do such with little to no repercussions.
    6. His design is very attractive and his highlights his character growth. As his casual wear highlights his cleanly nature and his Armor highlights how braver and stronger he's become.
    7. Much like Lukas, he also has a compassion for animals. Such as giving condolences towards Reuben's death and calling Stella out for abusing Lluna and comforting Lluna afterwards.

    Not So-Helpful Qualities

    1. He can be an incredibly grating and character to some players, such as his hyperactivity can be agitating to some.
    2. He doesn't receive as much development as other characters, such as Romeo or Jack, albeit he is still likeable.
    3. His high-pitched voice can be infuriating at times.
    4. Him fanboying over Jesse can be seen as creepy or awkward at times.

    Trivia

    • Radar is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who previously voiced Paul Lingard and Bob in The Walking Dead Season 3: A New Frontier, also made by Telltale Games.

Eric Stirpe revealed the following about Radar on Tumblr:

    • Radar has been working for Jesse for about a year.
    • Radar is both Jesse's assistant and intern.
    • Radar's favorite animals are rabbits.
    • Radar is Asian.
    • It was revealed that Radar previously lived in Champion City.
    • The game makes a reference to Ben 10 when Jesse tells Radar "It's hero time!" when escaping the golems, which is Ben 10's catchphrase. This is because both are voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.
    • Radar may be a reference to the 1972-1983 show M.A.S.H. One of the characters was, coincidentally, named Radar. They have similar personalities and look alike.
    • If Jesse looks at the octopus statue in "Hero in Residence", Radar will state that he loves seafood.
    • It is completely unknown how Radar could enter the Terminal Zone (if Jesse left him behind in Episode 4), as the portal entrance was concealed by Romeo's bedrock layer.
    • If you save Fred's people in "Below the Bedrock", he will return in "Above and Beyond" with the Giant Enderman and save Jesse, Petra, Jack and Romeo (determinant).
    • Radar is the third character to sing in Minecraft: Story Mode, the second being Jack, with "Jack's Lament", and the first being Soren with "Soren's Farewell Song".
    • The song he's been told to sing, according to Eric, is "Taste My Bravery."
    • Radar uses a model similar the Alex player model, with thinner arms. The difference is that his arms are 3 pixels wide on all sides, whereas the normal Alex model is 3 pixels wide on the front + back and 4 pixels on the left + right.
