    "No one say Papaya"
    Gender: Male
Type: Irresponsible yet Fun and Caring leader of the Barnyard
    Species: Cow
Portrayed by: Kevin James (Movie)/Chris Hardwick (TV Show)
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: Back at the Barnyard

Otis is the main protagonist of the Barnyard franchise. He is Pip's best friend, Daisy's ex-husband, Lil' Ben's adoptive father, Abby's boyfriend, and Ben's adoptive son.

Why He Deserves To Throw A Barnyard Party Now

    1. For an anthropomorphic cow, his design is pretty cool looking despite the fact that it doesn't make sense for him to have an udder.
    2. He’s well-animated and looks better than how he was in the movie and for CGI animation from 2006, it has aged better.
    3. He cares about his friends and has excellent chemistry with Pip, most notably, Cowman and Ratboy (Otis & Pip) are pretty funny and manage to be great parodies of Batman & Robin.
    4. Despite having the maturity of a 12-year-old, he admits his mistakes and tries to fix anything if he screws up and while it has a tendency to be repetitive, at least he has the decency to realize if he screwed up.
    5. He’s very funny as a character and manages to become an internet meme with hilarious moments such as the milking machine scene and the dairy section.
    6. Chris Hardwick in the show did an impressive job voicing him by giving a loud and boisterous tone for Otis's voice to contrast Kevin James's toned-down and laid-back performance. Which fits Otis's mischievous, irresponsible personality.
    7. His relationship with Abby is very interesting to watch and one could even think that they could be a couple.
    8. His character improved as he is as likable as he was in the movie.
    9. Underneath his irresponsibility and immaturity, he comes up with a ton of intelligent and clever ideas.

    Bad Qualities

    1. It doesn't make sense for him to have an udder when bulls and oxen don't even have them, but female cows do.
    2. He is responsible for most situations that occur on the Barnyard (his acts of stupidity for example).
      • Especially when his characterization can be all over the place, where Otis can range from being a childlike leader who doesn't really know what he's doing but has the best of intentions, to be an absolute idiot who doesn't know what the heck what he's doing and wants to party.

    Trivia

    • He gave us the "Perhaps" meme.
