Orihime Inoue (Japanese: 井上 織姫, Hepburn: Inoue Orihime) is a fictional character and in the Bleach manga series and its adaptations created by Tite Kubo. She is one of Ichigo Kurosaki's best friends. Like many other friends, she quickly develops spiritual powers of her own after Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper. Throughout the series, Orihime learns about Ichigo's duty as a Soul Reaper and decides to accompany him when he goes to Soul Society to save Rukia Kuchiki. In the animated adaptations of Bleach, Orihime is voiced by Yuki Matsuoka in Japanese. In the English adaptations, she is voiced by Stephanie Sheh.

Why She's Way Better Than Sakura

    1. She's a very kind and supporting person especially to her friends.
    2. A well written and tragic backstory as in her childhood she was abused by her parents (Her father was a drunk, while her mother was a prostitute) and her older brother had to raise her by himself until he died, but despite that she became a very cheerful person.
    3. She also receives major Character Development as she went from being cheerful into a very solemn character since the Arrancar arc first began. Then she returns straight back to being cheerful, but with a pluckier disposition.
    4. Both Yuki Matsuoka (Japanese) and Stephanie Sheh (English) did great jobs voicing her.
    5. She has and incredibly cute and sexy design.
    6. Despite what Ulquiorra did to her, thanks to her he finally understood what having a heart really feels like.
    7. She shows plenty of times how much she cares for Ichigo.
    8. She has a pretty fun personality.

    Bad Qualities

    1. The anime butchered her character especially her relationship with Ichigo.
    2. She was quite annoying in the Arrancar arc whenever she shouted "Kurosaki-Kun"

    1. She was the Leek Spin girl in the Leek Spin video.
    2. According to her character profile by Tite Kubo, Orihime's theme song is T'en va pas by Elsa.
    3. She ranked 8th in the most recent Bleach popularity poll (she placed highly in previous polls placing 5th, 12th and 10th).
    4. Orihime owns a pink teddy called Enraku (エンラク, Enraku) which gets knocked over during Acidwire's attack. Enraku was ranked #53 during the first popularity poll run by Weekly Shōnen Jump.
    5. Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka came 33rd tying with 2 others in the Zanpakutō popularity poll.
    6. The color of Orihime's eyes vary from the manga to the anime. They are shown as brown in the manga while the anime depicts them as silver or gray.
    7. While the spirit Shun'ō of Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka is presented as male in the manga and confirmed to be male in Bleach: Official Character Book SOULs, the anime presents Shun'ō as female instead.
