    Oggy the Cat

    Meow!
    Gender: Male
    Type: Cartoonish Scapegoat
    Age: 20
    Species: Anthropomorphic Cat
Portrayed by: Hugues Le Bars (High pitched voice samples)
Status: Immortal (Except in Soldier for one day)
Media of origin: Oggy and the Cockroaches

Oggy is the main protagonist and one of the four titular characters of the longest-running Xilam series, Oggy and the Cockroaches.

    Why He Rocks

    1. He is Xilam's most iconic and popular character in the Xilam company.
    2. His rivalry with the cockroaches is one of the most creative and iconic rivalry ever.
    3. It is shown that despite his hatred of the cockroaches, he still cares about them, like in "Oggy and the Babies".
    4. Without him, the Cockroaches would be depressed since their meaning of life is making slapstick antics ensue as shown in "Moving out".
    5. His famous screams, goofy laughs, moans, and grunts were provided by Hugues Le Bars.
    6. He has an appealing and creative character design (especially with his red nose being a cute touch with his design), and looks more like a cartoony cat than Stimpy.
    7. His relationship with Olivia is very nice.
    8. He is so popular enough to have two spin-offs called "Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation" and "Oggy Oggy", which is a bad spin-off.
    9. He made cameos in other Xilam shows like The Daltons, Ratz, Zig and Sharko, and even Space Goofs!
      • Speaking of Space Goofs, this show is his very first appearance since Oggy and the Cockroaches has not been released yet.

    Bad Qualities

    1. He is scared of mice, which makes no sense because all cats aren't usually scared of mice.
    2. He tortured the Cockroaches in "Artsy Oggy", even though they didn't even do anything wrong.
    3. He once framed the Cockroaches for eating the cake in "The Time Machine".
    4. He tends to be ill-tempered by the Cockroaches, and without him noticing.
    5. Some may consider him a rip-off of Tom & Jerry’s Tom Cat. Even if that was the point of his character and the whole show.
    6. He tends to be a punching bag despite keeping his home safe and protected, especially in the first two seasons.
    7. Just like Tom Cat, he isn't always portrayed as a protagonist and something of an anti-villain despite his heroic intentions. While likable as always; "Mission Oggy" is a prime example.
    8. For the reasons of Artsy Oggy and Dream on and Water Sports, it varies whether he's in character or not in season 4.
    9. Not only was he unlikable in "Bye-bye Roaches", but the episode was his first sign of Flanderization.
