    Species: Bio Organic Weapon/Tyrant

    Media of origin: Resident Evil

Nemesis T-Type, also simply called Nemesis (nicknamed the "Pursuer") is one of the titular main antagonists of the 1999 survival horror video game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and its 2020 remake, it also serves as a major antagonist in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, supporting antagonist in the non-canon spin-off Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and in the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse, serves as the secondary antagonist turned anti-hero. Nemesis is one of the two (the other being T-A.L.O.S.) greatest of the Tyrants created by Umbrella Corporation, being far smarter, stronger and able to take orders. His purpose is to seek out and kill remaining members of S.T.A.R.S. In the movies, Nemesis was deployed to not only kill S.T.A.R.S members as in the games, but to combat Alice (who had also been turned into a bio-weapon) to see which of them was superior. In the Resistance game mode, Nemesis became a playable character available if the player chooses Nicholai Ginovaef as the mastermind. He was voiced by the late Tony Rosato in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Under The Skin, Gregg Berger in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Damon Dayoub in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and David Cockman in the remake for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

    Trivia

    • Nemesis is named after the Greek goddess of vengeance and retribution whose name becomes another word for "enemy".
    • Nemesis' rocket launcher is specifically designed for it; it is larger and wider than a normal one, so much so that no human can carry it. Unlike a regular FIM-92 Stinger, the missiles do not take up the entire launcher and can be fired one after another.
    • Nemesis' design was a rejected concept for T-00 from Resident Evil 2.
    • In the movie, Nemesis was confirmed once human before being mutated to a large monster and modified via surgery as its video-game incarnation was created from a host of T-Virus which species is ambiguous (though implied to be human due to Nemesis' own humanoid appearance). Also, it appeared that this Nemesis' powers to use tentacles were replaced with mini guns instead.
    • In the demo for the remake of Resident Evil 2, There's an Easter egg of Nemesis yelling "S.T.A.R.S!" outside of R.P.D.
