    Nature Cat (character)
    Tally ho!
    Gender: Male
    Type: Nature-stricken Feline
    Age: Unknown
    Species: House Cat
    Portrayed by: Taran Killam
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: 'Unknown'

Nature Cat (also known as Fred) is the main titular character from the PBS Kids series Nature Cat. He is a yellow anthropomorphic cat with a lederhosen suit who enjoys nature and likes to venture out in the wilderness with his best friends Daisy, Squeeks, and Hal. Usually, he remains a normal house cat, but when his owners are away, he transforms into Nature Cat.

    Why he's Onward and Yonward

    1. His design as a cat with a Robin Hood-esque outfit is really cool.
    2. He is adventurous and always likes to see the light of day.
    3. He shows care about his friends, especially Hal.
    4. He often saves other animals, including his friends.
    5. He teaches good lessons about nature.
    6. Taren Killiam does a good job voicing him.
    7. Character development: he at first was scared at times but then he became move brave as the series went on.

    Bad Qualities

    1. He often blames Ronald for stuff that he didn't do, such as breaking his mug or stealing his cat toys.
    2. He was a total butt-monkey in the first few seasons.
    3. He was unlikeable at times due to his gullibility. One example is the episode "Goin´ Batty", where Nature Cat actually quit nature all because he was bitten by mosquitoes, stung by a bee, sprayed by a skunk, and stepped on poison ivy. Though it may have been torture for him. He even yells at his friends and storms off, much to their dismay. Thankfully, he becomes himself again after going the way back without ending up with problems the previous time, talking to a chipmunk and rescuing his friends.

    Trivia

    • His design is loosely based on Robin Hood.
