Momoko Sakura (Sakura Momoko, さくら ももこ) is the main character of the Japanese anime and manga series Chibi Maruko Chan.

She is the protagonist of each and every known manga and anime episode to date. She is a 3rd-grade elementary school student raised in a rather poor family within Shimizu City of the Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan.

Why She's The Cutest Anime Girl

1. She is cheerful and friendly but lazy, she is frequently late for school and doesn't do her homework. Maruko is also forgetful and often acts carelessly like forgetting her school bag or other things that make her unlucky. She is also not good at math and is often scolded by her mother.
2. She loves reading manga and drawing.
3. She also likes to listen to her idol singer, Momoe, on television. She wants to become a mangaka, singer idol, or world traveller when she grew up.
4. She secretly cared for her older sister Sakiko.
5. She really loves her favorite grandfather Tomozou.

7. Her smile is very adorable and purely heartwarming.
8. In the modern version, her design was extremely adorable.

1. She was very unlikable in some episodes, when she behaved like a spoiled brat.
