Mojo Jojo is the main antagonist in Cartoon Network's The Powerpuff Girls. He is the series' supervillain, the main archenemy of the Powerpuff Girls, and also serves as the main antagonist of The Powerpuff Girls Movie.

Why He Is World's Evil Villain

    1. He is the most fleshed-out antagonist in the TV show and played a significant role in the creation of the Powerpuff Girls.
      • Originally Professor Utonium's chimp lab assistant Jojo, he can be considered the second father to the girls since he unintentionally created them by pushing Utonium into a container of Chemical X. The spill also led to him gaining powerful intelligence.
      • Initially he was not evil but instead became jealous when the Professor gave all his love and attention to his girls and he was kicked out of the house. He was a loner and an outcast in society, leading him to seek revenge on the girls and Townsville.
    2. He also plays a major role in some of the original show's highly rated episodes, such as "Monkey See, Doggie Do", "The Rowdyruff Boys", and "Meet the Beat-Alls".
    3. He has a unique character design, notably his helmet which conceals his oversized brain.
    4. Despite his status as a villain, viewers can sympathize with him whenever the girls unjustly abuse him in certain episodes including "A Very Special Blossom", "Moral Decay", "Child Fearing" (depending on your view), and especially "Candy is Dandy".
    5. He can be a relatable character when he is not committing crimes. He also has been shown to be able to get along with other people in Townsville.
      • In works such as Relish Rampage, Jojo was nice enough to help the Powerpuff Girls.
    6. Although he always receives his comeuppance or takes a beating from the girls, he was able to defeat them on a few occasions.
    7. He has anti-heroic roles and saved the day on a couple of occasions.
      • In "Telephonies", he, along with HIM and Fuzzy, beat up the Gangreen Gang for their crank calls and ruining their day.
      • In "Just Another Manic Mojo", he gives the girls their baseball back, which gets put on the newspaper, much to his frustration.
      • In the episode "Forced Kin", he defeated the Alien Leader out of rage and jealousy of its evilness.
      • In the finale "The Powerpuff Girls Rule!", he used the Key to the World to solve global warming, and world hunger, and bring cures to all diseases, making the world a peaceful place, before reverting to his evil ways.
    8. He is filled with memorable quotes such as "Curses!" and many lines from the episode "Just Another Manic Mojo", such as:
      • "One egg left? For a nutritious breakfast, two eggs are the minimum requirement, and I have one when I should have two and it is 2 I need!"
      • "I have forgotten my wallet".
      • "Hey you kids, get out of my moat, it is not to be played in!"
      • "I must remember to destroy those kids after my breakfast has been eaten".
      • "Excuse me, sir, but can you please direct me to the location of where I locate some eggs, and I will purchase them, so they can travel home with me and I can eat today? And maybe tomorrow?"
      • "I swear that today is the day that I will develop a plan so diabolical and evil that I will crash the Powerpuff Girls! But first, I must attend to do the dishes that I have soiled with the food I have eaten".
      • "Oh, how sweet my vengeance will be! My plan that I have planned will surely crush the puny Powerpuff Girls as easily as I crush a bug. But wait, with my unforeseen delay and breakfast, I have yet to live by such a plan! But rarely will an opportunity be ripe as this foolish foil with the girls. I must stall them, but how?
    9. Mojo Jojo has a unique speech pattern where he repeats his own sentences but with different wording, which is hilarious to watch.
    10. Roger Jackson did an amazing job voicing Mojo Jojo, especially in The Powerpuff Girls Movie.
    11. He makes clever cameos in other cartoons such as Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Evil Con Carne.

    "Curses!" Qualities

    1. Despite being an evil mastermind, not all of his plans are well-thought-out, which makes him incompetent. For instance, in the episode "Get Back Jojo", he traveled back in time and attempted to murder young Professor Utonium who was saved by the girls. While this would have stopped the Powerpuff Girls from being created, Mojo Jojo would cease to exist as well.
    2. He was more of a generic and bland villain in the last two seasons of the original PPG series, serving more of a comic relief.
      • He was unfortunately subjected to toilet humor in the episodes "Pee Pee G's" and "Octi-Gone".
    3. In the 2016 reboot, he was flanderized and his speech pattern was completely gone. However, he still retained some of his comedic and quirky charm, and Roger Jackson even reprised his role.

    Trivia

    • His speech in The Powerpuff Girls Movie was shortened. The full version can be found on the DVD bonus features.
    • Craig McCracken considered Mojo Jojo as the middle in the evilest of the PPG villains, with HIM being the evilest and the Amoeba Boys being the least evil.
