Miranda Isabella Sanchez is Lizzie and Gordo’s best friend and one of the main characters in the Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire.
Why She Rocks
- Miranda is a very likable character, being smart and witty, but also a helpful friend.
- She has a great bond with her family.
- She’s a great friend to Lizzie and Gordo, and she always helps them out the best way she can.
- Speaking of Lizzie, she has a great friendship with her and it really shows, like when she helps Lizzie babysit Matt in "Misadventures in Babysitting", and when she and Gordo helped Lizzie become good again in "Bad Girl McGuire".
- She’s very hilarious, like when she used her family’s legend as a plan to trick Kate into embarrassing and humiliating herself in front of the whole school, with Lizzie, Gordo and Matt’s help in "Night of the Day of the Dead". In fact, here’s Proof That Miranda From Lizzie McGuire Is Hilarious.
- She is also the most unique character in the show, seeing that she and her family are from Mexico, and she is of Mexican heritage.
- She’s also willing to try new things, like when she failed at acting, so she instead tried singing, and was a great singer. So, she dreams of becoming a backup singer, and since Lizzie became a popular singer at the end of The Lizzie McGuire Movie, we can imagine that Miranda would become a great backup singer for her best friend, Lizzie.
- She’s also a good entertainer for her friends, Lizzie and Gordo, as she hosts them to popcorn and a movie rental on Friday nights at her house, and when she entertained everyone by hosting a great party in "My Fair Larry".
- She has great character development as the series progresses, like when she got along more with Kate when working together with her, and even helping Kate when she was at her lowest point, along with Lizzie and Gordo.
- She’s willing to make up for her mistakes, like whenever she makes up with her friends during their rough times, and when she apologizes to Larry and lets him hang out at her party in "My Fair Larry".
- In the very serious episode, "Inner Beauty", she reveals that she has an eating disorder, and it’s because she’s felt pressured by her life and that eating is the only thing she has control over. When she confessed this to Lizzie and Gordo, they told her that they will always be there for her and convince her to stop her diet and eat again, making her happy and feel better, knowing that she has great friends that support her and help her make the right choices. Miranda also helps many people who has seen that episode relate to similar real life problems, and the show handles this really well and makes us sympathize with Miranda, and like her even more.
