    Milk Chan (Super Milk Chan)

    Milk Chan (Super Milk Chan)
"Let's go eat sushi or something!"
    Gender: Female
    Type: Hilarious Anti-hero
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Haruka Nakamura (Japanese)
    Hilary Haag (English)
Media of origin: Super Milk Chan (1998)
    OH! Super Milk Chan (2000 / 2004 - 2005)

Milk Chan, the title character of the eponymous show OH! Super Milk Chan, is an infantile little girl whose status as a superhero is questionable. She is often selfish, vain, short-tempered, and has a habit of drooling, but is not devoid of decent qualities. She harbors a Love-Hate Relationship with The President and Tetsuko, alternating between tormenting them and getting along with them. Although she works officially for The President, she chooses on her own whether or not she wants to follow his orders. Coincidentally, her house is in the shape of a baby bottle and she still drinks powdered milk from a baby bottle on occasion.

    Why She Rocks

    1. She is an adorable 5-year-old child with an equally adorable design.
    2. Not only does Milk Chan look adorable, but she is also adorably precocious for her 5 year old age and can be quite clever when she puts her mind to it.
    3. Like Garfield, her deadpan sarcasm is very funny to listen to.
    4. Even though she's not the nicest character and is often selfish and greedy, she has an undeniable soft side to her and is not immune to genuine acts of kindness on her part, which is most notably evident at the end of every episode where she generously treats her friends to sushi for their efforts.
    5. Her catchphrases, such as "You Dumbass", "This Is (Insert Random Words Here). Just Kidding", and "Let's go eat sushi or something" are either adorable, humorous or even both.
    6. Her interactions with both The President (Of Everything) and The Landlord, which contrast her deadpan demeanor with their wacky goofiness, are pure comedy gold. They have to be seen to be believed.
    7. Milk Chan's voices in both the original Japanese and Adult Swim dub (courtesy of Hilary Haag in the latter) are really adorable and fit her cute, deadpan characterization.

    Bad Quality

    1. Her characterization in the Americanized Anime Network dub is way too mean-spirited and malicious for her own good. Granted, Milk Chan is usually a jerk in the original Japanese and Adult Swim English dubs of the show, but she is never THIS mean! Not only that, but her louder and meaner voice does not suit Milk Chan at all (despite Hilary Haag also voicing her in that dub)!
