"Hey, hey, hey. Can you make peace between the Sun and Moon? You need to ask the giant comet Nova for help! But first, there's something we must do. To ask Nova, we must gather power from all the stars around us. It will be difficult, Kirby, but you can do it! We are counting on you. Good luck!"
-Marx, Kirby Super Star
Marx is a reocurring character from the Kirby series, first appearing in Kirby Super Star as the final boss, and has become a popular character since then.
Why He Rocks
- Like Geno from the Mario Franchise, he has become a fan favorite ever since his debut in Kirby Super Star, where he appears in some other Kirby games.
- He has an awesome boss fight, especially since he is the final boss of the game.
- He is extremely smart and came up with a great plan to take control of Planet Popstar: In Milky Way Wishes, he causes a fight between the Sun and the moon and tricks Kirby into summoning the NOVA to stop it. Once Kirby manages to collect the star power needed to talk to the wish-granting comet, Marx kicks him away to make his wish, where he becomes bigger than before, gets some wins to fly and plenty of reality-bending and elemental manipulation powers.
- He also made a comeback in Kirby Mass Attack in a subgame, alongside other characters.
- In Kirby Super Star Ultra, in the True Arena, after you defeat all 9 of the bosses, you then fight him in his Soul Form, which has an awesome design as well as some new attacks.
- He also appeared in Kirby Star Allies in the first wave of Dream Friends alongside Gooey and the Animal Friends from Kirby's Dream Land 2.
- He made a cool reappearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where he is a boss in Classic Mode as well as in the main story mode.
Bad Qualities
- While the battle againts his Soul form is epic, it is widely infamous for its difficulty which resorted to people using strong abilities like Hammer to defeat it.
- He was badly flanderized in the Kirby Manga, going from a cunning and ambitious goofball to a rude jerk.
- When it comes to food, he can be even more ruthless and dangerous than Kirby in Squeak Squad, especially considering that this was his motivation to be the villain in Kirby Super Star to begin with.
