Marvin the Martian is an alien character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series. He frequently appears as a villain in cartoons and video games, and wears a Roman soldier hat and skirt.

He has been voiced by Mel Blanc, Joe Alaskey, Bob Bergen, Eric Bauza, and several others.

Why He's Lovely

1. A lot like Sylvester and Wile E. Coyote, he is a really likable and sympathetic villain from the Looney Tunes franchise, since he doesn't really act like a jerk nor is that sadistic and is much more polite when compared to the other Looney Tunes villains.
2. Out of all the Looney Tunes characters, he has one of the most unique and complex designs.
3. Mel Blanc does a great job voicing him.
   • Joe Alaskey and Eric Bauza also do a swell job voicing him as well.
4. Despite appearing in only five cartoons, he is still a fan favorite and one of the most popular Looney Tunes characters.
5. He, along with Daffy Duck, received their own show in 2003, Duck Dodgers.
6. His rivalry with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck have a lot of good chemistry.
7. His relationship with K-9, his pet dog, is also nice.
8. He has a lot of memorable quotes such as "Isn’t that lovely?", "Where's the Kaboom?", and "You make me so angry", among others.
9. Unlike most Looney Tunes villains, he is one of the more intelligent villains in the series even though his plans usually backfire.
10. Most of his contraptions and inventions are very unique and interesting.
11. He was so popular, that he appeared on several Nike commercials with Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny during the 90's.

Qualities that "Make Him So Angry"

1. Despite being one of the most well remembered Looney Tunes characters, he has only appeared in five theatrical cartoons.
2. Jeff Bergman's performance on him sounds pretty off.

• Marvin the Martian served as the mascot for the USCGC Hornbeam (WLB-394), a 180-foot United States Coast Guard buoy tender.
