Louis Anthony Stevens is the main protagonist of the Disney Channel series Even Stevens. He is the youngest sibling of the Stevens family and is known as Lawence Junior High's resident prankster. He was portrayed by Shia LaBeouf.
Why He's Even
- He is humorous, as his various pranks are more kid-friendly and enjoyable to watch.
- He is by far the most likable character in the series.
- His insecurities of living under his family's shadow, particularly that of his sister Ren, and willingness of making something of himself are relatable.
- Whenever he finds himself in the wrong, he doesn't hesitate to make things right again.
- Despite his poor academic performance, he proves to be crafty, intelligent and creative.
- He usually learns his lessons whenever he realizes his mistakes.
- Character development: In the episode " The Big Splash", after Louis unintentionally humiliates his father Steve at the pool and Steve tells him that he cannot go through life being a prankster, Louis truly reflects on his mischievous lifestyle and how it will affect him in the future, realizing that his immaturity would push his friends away from him. After realizing that he has been fooling around too much, he learns to take life more seriously on a necessary level.
- He loves his family and friends and genuinely respects those who are annoyed by his antics.
- Shia LaBeouf did an excellent performance portraying his character.
Bad Qualities
- He can be greedy, as there are times when he comes up with get-rich-quick schemes for his own personal benefits.
- He can be immature, rude and selfish at times.
- His pranks and troublemaking ways can sometimes land him in unwanted situations with others, especially with his older sister Ren.
- As mention above BQ 1, 2 and 3, Louis can be somewhat of a Bart Simpson wannabe at times.
