Lord Dominator is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Lord Hater) of Wander Over Yonder. She serves as a Galaxy-Dominating humanoid with the ability to destroy planets using her drill. Even though she is considered the "Greatest in the Galaxy", she has an egotistical side where she cannot befriend Wander, Sylvia, Lord Hater, Commander Peepers, and other characters like King Bingleborp and Emperor Awesome. She mostly appears in the Dominator Saga (The Greater Hater, The Battle Royale, My Fair Hatey, and The End of the Galaxy), but in some episodes like The Bot and The Night Out does not apply to this.
Why Dominator's Greater, Best Villain
- She is considered one of the greatest in the galaxy because of her personality being brash and due to the fact that she wants to destroy planets as a gift, even when she is bored.
- She had an emotional attempt to befriend the main characters like Wander and Lord Hater so that they would become friends, yet she still treated like a jerk nonetheless.
- Like Heather from Total Drama, she is also an example of a mean popular girl that is written well, starting from "The Greater Hater", where she ignores Wander's attention by giving her a basket filled with fruits, to facing Lord Hater in The Battle Royale, which in fact that Hater is going to date with her until she does not like to date in "My Fair Hatey". This goes to show that she is slightly improving when the episodes progress.
- Her song "I'm The Bad Guy" is an interesting way of how she is evil and captures other villains in the first place, despite lacking any flashbacks whatsoever.
- Her themes are good, the first theme is intimidating while the second one is a calm variant with guitar sounds.
- When Lord Hater and Wander sing Lord Hater's theme, she generally loves it, despite the back-talking where she only wants to destroy them by saying "Who can't believe how amazingly stupid this is? Dominator!"
- She is good with computers as she uses them to control her ship and her weapons to destroy not just the galaxy, but also the characters like Wander and Lord Hater.
- Outside of having one weapon (not counting the Optic Beam and laser eyes (Dominator's ship only)), which is her lava powers, she also gains ice powers after Peepers throws the Frostonium 17 in her ship's core (which causes her ship to freeze until it melts).
- She shows a somewhat decent relationship with Wander and Sylvia as she attempts to befriend her in My Fair Hatey and The Night Out respectively, only to show her twist where she does not like to show friends with them.
- She has memorable lines such as "I AM THE GREATEST!" and "Cause I'm the Bad Guy!"
- Her designs (Humanoid and Mech Armor) are solid to look at.
- Noel Wells and Fred Tatasciore (as her mech suit) did touching performances as her.
Bad Qualities
- While her evil behavior is warranted, it's what makes her personality a bit divisive at times.
- On that topic, she can be mean-spirited to the characters like when she uses her lava powers on Wander while he is giving her a fruit basket or singing a song in The Greater Hater or stealing Lord Hater's H.A.T.E.R.V to attack the Watchdogs as a ride in The New Toy.
- As mentioned before, she cannot befriend other characters due to her personality being strict demeanor, thus having a chance to break up with them.
Trivia
- She was first revealed in the final episode of Wander Over Yonder Season 1, The Rider, where she is laughing while watching the main characters chase in the galaxy.
