    Lolo
"So what if he's pesky! It doesn't matter! I like him just fine!"
    Gender: Female
    Type: Future Priestess
    Clumsy but Kind Girl
    Age: 13 (Lunatea's Veil- present)
    Species: Lunatean
Portrayed by: Tomoko Kawakami (Japanese; 1970-2011)
    Unknown (English; Beach Volleyball)
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: Klonoa

Lolo is one of the recurring characters in Namco's video game franchise Klonoa since her first debut in Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, released in 2001 for PlayStation 2 and it's first remaster and rerelease as part of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series collection in 2022.

Why She Earns The Priestess Title

    1. Good and cute character design with a mix of human-like appearance and animal features that works pretty well.
    2. She (alongside Popka) had a good introduction in the franchise by saving Klonoa which was unconscious in the water and teamming up with him to save Lunatea.
    3. Despite being clumsy and insecure at times, Lolo has a Kind Heart and after the first adventure with the dream traveler she starts to gather more courage and strength.
    4. The late Tomoko Kawakami did a great job voicing Lolo, same also goes for the unknown English voice actress in Klonoa: Beach Volleyball.
    5. Sometimes she unintentionally show her feelings for Klonoa, often blushing after someone else notices or with herself not controlling them.
      • Even with such event not being canon, her Shippuu Tengoku Kaze no Klonoa counterpart did confess her feelings for the main character.
    6. One example of her strong friendship with Popka is explained in the latter's own ending from Klonoa: Beach Volleyball, Lolo found him alone in a frozen place and gave a scarf to him, making Popka think better about spending the prize money in the end.
    7. Surprisely sad backstory and events that she goes through in Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, seeing her being able to surpass her greatest fears and decided to regain the title of priestess at her own is one of highlights of the plot.
    8. Lolo's debut in Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament and onward (mostly in the same continuity) shows how much character development she got.
    9. She managed to do well in said tournament, with the Dream Traveler himself praised her performance and eventually she would face the Nighty-Knights while telling High Priestess to not lose hope.

    Bad Qualities

    1. Lolo's clumsiness in her own ending from Klonoa: Beach Volleyball is stupidly high, she kept dropping bought items to the point that Klonoa decided to carry the items for her, Lolo promises to do better in shopping while Popka notices Klonoa doesn't feel like shopping again.
    2. She got a out of character personality and appearance in the crossover dating sim Namco High, through just like the case with other IPs said game works with it's not considered canon.
      • It's publisher Shiftylook worked on Klonoa: Dream Traveler of Noctis Sol webcomic, and thankfully Lolo went back to her likable self while continuing from where the games left off (until the cliffhanger).

    Trivia

    • It is possible that Lolo was recycled from a scrapped character from the first game.
    • She appears in Klonoa: Lunatea's Veil title screen intro with R1 or R2 button.
    • Her theme is a remix of the vision clear theme / Song of Rebirth from Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, a portion of it plays in the track "Hyuponia - Ruin of Sadness" and said theme has 5 versions in the sequel.
    • Lolo is only a playable character in Klonoa: Beach Volleyball like most characters of the franchise (with the exception of Klonoa, Guntz and Popka despite the latter not being fully playable in the second game).
    • Lolo and Popka are not best friends nor used know each other in Shippuu Tengoku Kaze no Klonoa manga.
    • She is registered as priestess in training in the tournament but is still with a green-winged brooch, which creates an inconsistency with Lolo's act of removing it and try to get the priestess title without Klonoa's help in her previous appearance.
