Julie is a minor antagonist of the Cartoon Network series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. She was voiced by Lara Jill Miller.
Why She Rocks
- Julie cleverly changes her tone of voice depending on her mood. When she is happy, she has a sweet and feminine voice. When she has negative emotions, her voice is more sinister and slightly deep.
- Like her former bandmates Ami and Yumi, she has an animesque design by Lynne Naylor.
- Lara Jill Miller did a very good job voicing Julie. Usually, she voiced kindhearted people but Julie is more or less a villain.
- While she isn't Puffy AmiYumi’s most recurring enemy like Harmony, she is definitely their most personal enemy.
- She hilariously misnames Ami as Arthur frequently. She at one point called the band Puffy ArthurYumi.
- Even though she only appeared in one episode, she became a huge fan favorite.
- She talks to her keyboard guitar while trying to sabotage AmiYumi. She talked to it as they plan revenge on Puffy AmiYumi.
Bad Qualities
- Due to the show ending after three seasons, Julie didn't make a second appearance. She also wasn't previously brought up in the rest of the series.
- Unlike Ami, Yumi and Kaz, she is the only member of the band who isn't based on a real life member of the band.
Trivia
- Fans gave her a fake last name: Hinikawa.
- It is speculated that if Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi got a fourth season, Julie would have had a bigger role.
