Jotaro Kujo is the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. Jotaro and his comrades travel to Egypt in 1987 in search of the evil and immortal vampire Dio Brando. He is the grandson of Joseph Joestar though Holly. He is known to have a stand called Star Platinum whose power is incredible strength, speed, precision and the ability to stop time.

Why He Kicks Ass

1. He is one of the most memorable anime characters.
2. He is also the most recurring JoJo in the series.
3. Despite being very aloof and stoic, he does in fact care about his mother, his grandfather (Joseph Joestar), his uncle (Josuke Higashikata) and as well as his daughter (Jolyne Cujoh), the friends he makes during Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable.
4. His Stand, Star Platinum, is one of the strongest Stands in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, as it has superhuman abilities, and can stop time.
5. Speaking of which, the battlecry "ora ora ora" it makes while punching the hell out of Jotaro's enemies is also very memorable.
6. He was responsible for defeating Dio, who was the Joestar family's old archenemy.
7. He is shown to be very intelligent, as he can defeat his enemies by bluffing, easily luring them into a vulnerable position so he can make his move.
8. He also has a doctorate in marine biology.
9. He's capable of showing compassion and empathy when he willingly buries N'Doul's corpse after the latter commits suicide to avoid interrogation.

Bad Qualities? Yare yare daze

1. While he is likable, he can be a dick to other people.
   • For example, he calls his mom a "b***h" in the English translation.
   • He's told multiple people, including Polnareff, to fuck off.
   • Though to be clear, this can be justified considering how some people annoy Jotaro to the point of angering him.
2. He has a hair-trigger temper, though he becomes calmer in parts 4, 5 and 6.
3. It isn't explained how he obtained the power to stop time.

Trivia

• While Jotaro did not return in part 8, there is another character named "Josefumi Kujo" was named after him.
• According to Hirohiko Araki, Jotaro has been heavily inspired by Clint Eastwood.
