Jessie (Japanese: ムサシ Musashi) is a member of Team Rocket, more specifically part of a trio with James and Meowth, that follows Ash and his friends around in the Pokémon anime, usually trying to steal Ash's Pikachu.

    Why She Prepares for Trouble

    1. Jessie is a very funny villain, along with James, as they, along with Meowth, are always following Ash and his friends to try and steal Pikachu.
    2. She and James make awesome main villains in the show, as they come up with many plans, some of which almost work.
    3. She and James usually get their comeuppance almost every time they try to stalk Ash's Pokémon
    4. Jessie’s Pokémon, such as Wobbuffet, Dustox, Yanmega, and Mimikyu are awesome (especially Wobbuffet and Mimikyu).
    5. She got more funnier and smarter as a villain as the episodes went on.
    6. Whenever she's not a funny villain, there were times where she's a hero, and has saved many lives and many legendaries on more than one occasion. She has such a big heart for Pokémon deep down, she even helped save the Ekans and Koffings that Arbok and Wheezing want to save, along with James and Meowth, and how she helped her old friend, Blissey, look innocent so she can keep her job as a Pokémon Center nurse to help Nurse Joy heal Pokémon.
    7. There were also times where she and her teammates betray other Team Rocket members by ruining their plans, which shows she has some good in her heart.
    8. She was a funny failing coordinator during Ruby & Sapphire, and later became a good coordinator during Diamond & Pearl where she got to the Grand Festival and ended being in the Top 4.
    9. Even if she's a villain, she believes in treating Pokémon with respect deep down and has every right to get angry at anyone who abuses their Pokémon, like how cruel Paul was to Chimchar and how he abandoned it in the end.
    10. She has a deep bond with her Pokémon and she loves them very much.
    11. Her friendship with James and Meowth is good, as they have been together since Team Rocket training school and are always there for each other when needed.
    12. She, and her friends, also does hard work in jobs that are not evil to earn money and help her and her friends live and survive throughout their journeys.
    13. She is such a great character, that even Nintendo had put her in some Pokémon games, along with James and Meowth.
    14. She was a good performer during XY, as she was able to make it to the master class, using her experience when she was a good coordinator during Diamond & Pearl, and she made it to the final normal round of the Master Class.
    15. She can be decent in some battles she has, like the contests and showcases she's won, and that Wobbuffet can show off his great strength on more than one occasion, and that her terrifyingly strong Mimikyu was so close to actually beating Pikachu. Also, when she and James with Mimikyu and Mareanie faced Ash and his Pikachu and Rowlet in the early episodes of Sun and Moon, they were able to beat him with just their Pokémon, which gave them their first fair win against Ash.
    16. She has a pretty rough past, as her mother disappeared when she was 5, that led to her being an orphan, and that her dreams she tried to follow in the past all failed, so we can understand why she became a villain in the first place.
    17. She is a very beautiful woman, and is very attractive.
    18. She has greatly redeemed herself since Black & White: Adventures in Unova and Beyond, and has remained her lovable self since then.

    Bad Qualities

    1. She was flanderized in the first two Black & White seasons, where she became boring and a "good" villain, and not in a good way. Thankfully, she has redeemed herself since the third season of Black & White.
    2. She can be unlikable sometimes, especially when she interrupts Ash during a battle and when she slows him and his friends down during their journey.
    3. Like James And Meowth In Most of the Movies they Are Useless and Bareley do Much in the Plot.
    4. She can be a scary person at times, like when her hair gets wet and she gets furious.
    5. She can be a jerk to her friends sometimes, not just Ash and his friends, particularly when she fights with James and Meowth over food or other things.
    6. Her Sun and Moon design look pretty off-looking to most people, but it's mainly the face. Luckily, her personality was still the same (unlike the beginning of the Unova era), but after Sun and Moon, her face design thankfully changed to a much better-looking one in the currently running Journeys series.
    7. Even before and after the first 2 seasons of Black & White, she, along with James and Meowth can sometimes avoid "blasting off" when their plans fail, and basically get away with her actions scott-free.

    • According to James in the English dub of Pokémon Shipwreck, Jessie is short for "Jessica".
    • As Here's Lookin at You, Elekid was the first episode in the anime to feature digital-colored animation, and Jessie's hair color was changed to magenta in all subsequent episodes. In all of the hand-colored cel-animated episodes prior to this point, including movies like Destiny Deoxys and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Jessie's hair was colored red.
