Jak is the main protagonist of the Jak and Daxter video game franchise for the PlayStation. He was voiced by Mike Erwin and Josh Keaton.

Why He's Mar

His storyline symbolizes how a boy becomes an angsty teenager to a mature man. In the first game, he explores a peaceful world. In the second game, he gets sent to a dystopian future and filled with rage from Dark Eco. In the third, he gets sent to a desert and gets some Light Eco.
Mike Erwin did a great job voicing Jak. Josh Keaton gets an honorable mention.
His Dark Jak and Light Jak forms are awesome. Dark Jak is monstrous and can produce offensive abilities while Light Jak can produce defensive abilities and flight with wings.
He had good chemistry with Daxter, Keira, Damas and Ashelin Praxis. He had a healthy relationship with Keira throughout most of the franchise.
His Morph Gun is fun to use. In the second game, there are four mods. In the third, there are twelve, three for each column. It helps that they are based on red, yellow and blue eco.
His driving skills for zoomers, dune buggies, lizards, birds and cars are impressive, which resulted in Jak X: Combat Racing being made.
Jak can attack enemies by either punching or spinning like Crash Bandicoot. He can also spin in the air.
He surprisingly has a good sense of humor. He chuckled from hearing Pecker say his name and his reaction upon learning the Precursors are Ottsels is priceless.
In the third game, he can get pieces of Precursor armor to upgrade his health meter.
His very first words are memorable, dark and hilarious at the same time.

He doesn't even speak in the first game. This is justified due to the trauma he had after his father Damas was overthrown by Baron Praxis. It doesn't help that the first game seems rather weird due to the rest of the franchise being more adult oriented.
In the second game, he was rough around the edges, which is justified due to him being a Dark Eco test subject.
In the third game, he refused to go back to Haven City despite the fact he later did go back.
While most of the games have him in a relationship with Keira, he has one with Ashelin in the third game.
In The Lost Frontier, he doesn't have Dark Jak powers due to the Eco going on low supply.

Jak serves as a skin in Ratchet: Deadlocked.
Jak is a playable character in Hot Shots Golf Fore.
Mike Erwin reprises his role in PlayStation Move Heroes.
When using save files of the first three games for Jak X, his incarnations become playable drivers.
