Jackie Chiles is a fictional lawyer of the seminal NBC comedy show Seinfeld. He was portrayed by Phil Morris doing a Johnny Cochran impression.
Why He Is Amazing, Outstanding, Spectacular
- He is a clever take on Johnny Cochran, who has a very similar personality and appearance. Cochran approved of the character himself.
- He rightfully calls out Kramer for making dumb decisions. After Kramer’s first two mistakes, Jackie didn't want Kramer for another case until he told him to sue against the tobacco companies.
- He is really quotable with lines such as “This is a public humiliation!”, “That's outrageous, egregious, preposterous!” and “Who told you to put the cheese on? Did I tell you to put the cheese on?”.
- He appeared in Snyder’s Pretzels commercials and a Funny or Die video.
- He tried to help defend Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine during the Good Samaritan law trial. He made a hilarious and memorable monologue at the beginning of the trial. A deleted scene extended the monologue by about a minute.
- He uses at least 3 big adjectives to describe something, which is creative.
The Only Bad Quality
- He was an underused character and only appeared in 5 episodes.
Trivia
- NBC planned a Jackie Chiles spin-off but was scrapped.
