Media of origin: Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost

Flim-Flam is a character in the Scooby-Doo franchise. He was introduced in The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo as a clever street child, who briefly joined Scooby-Doo's gang to assist them in returning all the most terrifyingly powerful ghosts and demons back into the Chest of Demons. Later on, in Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost, he reappeared as a teenage store clerk, who briefly rejoins Scooby-Doo’s gang to assist them in returning the 13th most terrifying powerful ghost/demon back into the Chest of Demons. While he was a pretty bad character in The 13 Ghosts series, he received massive character growth and redemption when he returned in The Curse of the 13th Ghost.

    Why He Rocks Now

    1. This version of Flim-Flam has grown from a pesky con man to a nice store clerk gentleman and no longer scams people, as he lets Fred and Velma leave his store without buying anything instead of tricking them into buying something.
    2. His growth into a teenager is interesting, and is a lot more mature, observant, and less annoying than when he was a kid.
    3. He has more moments of being in action and being useful than his younger self, as he is still very smart, like helping the gang track down the 13th ghost.
    4. He is no longer arrogant, which is a huge achievement, and definitely in a good way.
    5. He also became a lot more friendly and sensitive.
    6. He also develops better common sense to when he should and should not convince people to buy his stuff if they are interested or not.
    7. There have been more moments where he has shown care for the gang than his younger self.
      • He showed his joy of seeing Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby again.
      • He did mention Scrappy, showing his care for him (unlike Velma, but this was because of Scrappy’s absence from the Scooby-Doo animation media since the 1980s).
      • He became good friends with Fred and Velma.
      • When Daphne kissed him on the check, he happily blushes, showing he has a crush on her, which is very cute.
    8. He is no longer an annoying begger and a dirty coward, and became a lot more brave, being one of the most bravest members of the gang.
    9. His voice performance is an improvement over his original voice, as Noshir Dalal did a good job at voicing the teenage Flim-Flam, especially when he uses one of his catchphrases at the end of the movie, "So long, sports fans.", which sounds so much better than his old voice.

    The Only Bad Quality

    1. His younger 1985 version.
