Eirika is one of the two main characters in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. She is the princess of Renais, only daughter of King Fado of Renais, and the younger twin sister of Prince Ephraim. In the beginning, King Fado made Eirika leave the castle simply because Renais was under attack by Grado. Her trusted knight Seth came along with Eirika and encountered Valter, a general of Grado. Seth attacks Valter in order to protect Eirika, thus getting hurt in the process and heads on to Frelia alongside Eirika.

    Why She Rocks

    1. She has a good point that violence is not always the answer to everything. She does feel that she honestly doesn't like violence which is understandable if you were to think about it.
    2. While it's true that she loathes violence and wishes that serious issues should be solved without fighting, she is shown to be brave simply because she knows that battling is utilized. Think about it, you do realize that there are some things in life you dislike, but you have to do it anyways because it's important. Relatable right?
    3. She is a quick thinker thanks to how she has been fairly educated with knowledge and history, also being able to develop diplomatic skills. How smart!
    4. Even though she naive due to her sheltered childhood, she does adapts quickly to the circumstances and matures during the effects of the war.
    5. She's very kind and easily cares for others. Especially the ones that are precious to her. It's no wonder that she vows to find Ephraim after learning that her dad is killed. She even refuses to give up her kindness if she on such sticky situation and protect others.
    6. Her character design is actually cute and bubbly (especially in Heroes) which is one thing that we should point out. However, don't be fooled by her looks because she can still be a hero.
    7. She is the only character to wield the Sieglinde which is a sacred sword that can inflict effective damage against monsters.
    8. After the battle, Eirika returned Renais and reconstructed with Ephraim. This is proof that outside of battle, she isn't lazy to finish a job. Adding to this is that she can bring joy to the hearts of others.
    9. She can be a good example of how a sister would need to act towards a brother. If you were to look at her conversations with Ephraim, you would know that all that brother and sister talk is relatable and sometimes fun. This can also apply to other siblings as well that don't have to necessarily be brothers or twins.
    10. She is shown to give good advice. For example, when Tana mentioned that Innes (Tana's brother) being cruel, Eirika encourages Tana to listen to her advice by saying "Tana, your brother has a strange way of showing his concern... But he IS concerned about you. You can see that, can't you?".
      • Another example is when Innes mentioned that he hates Ephraim, Eirika responds by saying " try to befriend my brother. I know he would want this as well. I don't know why you dislike him. When I am alone with him, he is so kind". This lead to Innes to forgive her.
    11. She doesn't deny that she needs help during a predicament that she goes through since not everyone is perfect.
    12. She does regret doing some things that she may do wrong like when he did claim that her brother would be upset if she missed a day of practising her swordplay as one example.

    Bad Qualities

    1. She can be naive at times like when she hands Lyon the Sacred Stone from Renais when the Demon King says that it will save Lyon, which drives her to intense guilt for a short while once the mistake sinks in.
    2. She can be overly kind that it can put herself into danger depending on what she goes through.

    Trivia

    • Her name is the Scandinavian spelling for 'Erica' which means "heather" in Latin. It is also the feminine form of the name 'Eric' which means "ever ruler" in Old Norse, from 'ei' (ever) and 'rikr' (ruler).
    • When Eirika criticals as a Great Lord in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, the critical blow is difficult to see, looking essentially the same as her normal attack animation but with a single added flourish of her sword when she draws it back. This has led some to believe she has no critical animation.
