Doraemon (Japanese: ドラえもん) is a fictional anime robot cat from the 22nd century who addicted to dorayaki

Why He's a Gadget Cat From the Future

    1. He's of the most iconic character made by Fujiko F. Fujio and one of the most popular character in Japan.
    2. His design is really good and recognizable, even by peoples who hasn't watched any of the episodes from his show.
    3. He's a good friend to Nobita and he often saved him from dangerous things.
      • His chemistry works off well for being the robotic voice of reason to the more anxious and fearful Nobita, helping him with any possible situation.
    4. His voice actors do a great job voicing him, especially in the original Japanese version, his voice is also pretty cute.
    5. His theme song is nice, especially in the 1979 series which had the most memorable and even one of the most iconic theme song.
    6. He got multiple merchandises, most notably his video games, toys, shows, movies and even an entire museum in Japan dedicated to him and his own franchise.
      • Also most of his video games are decent to amazing, such as Doraemon 3: Nobita no Machi SOS! and it's predecessors on the N64, the SNES games (especially the third game) and most of his DS games.
    7. All of his anime adaptations are great, especially the 2005 version, the 1979 series is also amazing, the 1973 series howewer is lost and is the weakest of them all.
    8. His movies are also great and some of them had even better animation and art style than his shows.

    Bad Qualities

    1. His counterpart in the US dub of the 2005 anime, while not too bad, can be pretty annoying from time to time where he acts like a jerk to Nobita (aka Noby) and constantly scolds him 24/7. Although him scolding Nobita/Noby can be somewhat justified since he usually uses his gadgets even for the slightest things.
      • He can also be unlikable at time in the original counterpart, such as in the episode Lucky Gun where when Nobita was hurt at the end of the episode, he seem to not care about it and just say that it's a bad day.
        • In that same episode, he would also get mad at him for being scared of being hit by the black bullets
    2. His first appearance in 1973 anime was very bad thus making him a flat character, which unfortunately it cannot be found.
    3. Some of his video games are mediocre or downright terrible, exemples include Doraemon: Nobita to Fukkatsu no Hoshi on the PS1 and Sega Saturn, the Doraemon Kart duology on both Game Boy and Game Boy Color, Doraemon (1983) on Arcadia and the Doraemon no Study Boy games which are some of the worst games ever made and the worst games that he ever got involved.
