Cody Denis Nutkiss-Calvin or simply Cody, is one of the main characters in SuperMarioLogan. He is a (now-) teenage, nerdy homosexual Magikoopa and is best friends with Bowser Junior, Joseph, and Jeffy, despite often being made fun of by them.
Why He's Very Hunky
- While his characterization is simple, that being of a stereotypical nerdy character fused with an exaggerated gay stereotype, it is an undeniably effective and humorous one that also manages to be charming and memorable in its own right.
- It is also worth nothing that the concept of a gay/nerd stereotype fusion is also a very unique one that hasn't been replicated in many other media.
- Related to the above, he is also widely considered as one of the funnier characters on the channel, including his humorous relationship with his Ken doll, who he treats as a living person to exaggerated effect. Many of these moments come as a result of his overexaggerated gayness.
- He has a great chemistry/dynamic with Bowser Junior and Joseph; he plays a "blue oni" role to the "red oni" of Junior and Joseph and does a great job adding balance to Junior and Joseph's quirky and illogical antics.
- In addition to this, Cody has arguably one of the most prominent and notable evolutions of any SML character. While he was always a fairly entertaining character, over the course of the series, he shifts from being a simple, socially awkward stereotype with medical disorders, to gradually shifting into the mature, logical, and unashamed, raging homosexual he is today.
- While he was flanderized like many other SML characters after the Jeffy era started with his gay jokes being exaggerated further, this is actually regarded as a positive Flanderization as it provides some of Cody's most memorable jokes and didn't come at the expense of his charm as a character.
- He has some likable and entertaining videos related to him, like "Cody's Happy Hanukkah", "Cool Cody", "Spoken", "Cody Meets Harry" and "Hunky Cody", some of which are considered all time SML classics.
- His voice actor, Pablo/Pooby, does a great job voicing him, giving the character a nerdy, slightly nasal voice befitting his awkward and nerdy personality.
Bad Qualities
- His constant gay jokes about how he loves Ken can be extremely annoying, especially since he denies the fact that Ken is a doll.
- His jokes, in general, can sometimes be pushed to the point of nausea, such as the infamous scene in "Heartbroken" where he makes Bowser Jr pull a long sausage out of his mouth.
- His last name Nutkiss can come off as childish and juvenile, much like Chef Pee Pee.
- The design for his human puppet design is one of the worse received because it doesn't resemble him much, just like the other puppets (aside Junior) that don't resemble the plush form of the characters.
- Despite being portrayed as the most sensible of Junior's friend trio there are occasions where he is as bad as Junior is, if not worse than his friends, which does make him out to be somewhat of a hypocrite:
- The Remote: Cody goes on an infamous five-year-long raping spree with the titular remote and afterward tries to tell Junior to not abuse the remote's power.
- Cody's Prank: Cody lies about his parents tragically dying in a car crash, which is offensive and disrespectful to people who actually lost their parents in a car crash, and is out of character for Cody since he usually tries to be as respectful as possible in situations like this.
- Cody’s Accident: Cody accidentally knocks Chef Pee Pee out, and he lies to Junior and Joseph, as well as trying to hide Chef Pee Pee, and kill Ken and Joseph.
- His cry is a bit annoying sometimes.
- Whenever he brags about his free medium french fries he gets from McDonald's every week, he can get under your skin real fast. Although, it does show that Logan does still care a bit for continuity.

- In 2021, he, along with every other Mario character, had been permanently turned into SML human puppets that don't resemble the games due to legal issues with Nintendo.
- He is Logan, Pablo, and Lovell's favorite character.
- In his earlier appearances, he tried to deny his homosexuality, even though it was extremely obvious he was gay. In newer videos, he is openly gay and he un-apologetically engages in bizarre sexual activities, even in front of his friends.
