Cebolinha/Jimmy Five is one of the main characters of the Brazilian comic book series Monica and Friends (also known as Turma da Mônica in the Brazilian translations), created by Mauricio de Sousa.

Why He Wocks

1. The character is heavily inspiwed by great American comic book characters, most notably Charlie Brown.
2. He is fwiendly and has a lawge number of fwiends, including being the leader of a club fowmed by all the boys in the neighbowhood.
3. He has an iconic design, most notably for its spiky hair of just five hair strands.
4. His way of speaking (changing the letters R for L, or R by W in the English version) is also considered one of his most iconic points, dewiving many jokes.
5. His fwiendship/wivalwy with Monica is vewy awesome. The same can be said about his friendship with Smudge.
6. Sometimes he plays the role of an antagonist for Monica, always following the steweotype of a hilarious villain who creates plans in each episode and is always defeated along with his accomplices.
7. Contrary to what many people think, he has a good reason for becoming the owner of the street: He was the main protagonist of Monica's Gang in the very old newspaper comics, and since Monica was very unlikable when she first appeared, it is understandable that Jimmy Five would try to be the boss of the street.
8. His friendship/rivalry with Monica can easily be compared to the friendship/rivalry between Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny or Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse.
9. Just like Monica he is always venturing out and defeating villains with the help of his fwiends.
10. He is a persistent character who never gives up on his plans to defeat Monica, even though he almost always loses to her.
11. Speaking of which, there are times when he actually comes up with a plan that works, even though it's not to own the street or catch Monica's bunny, Samson. He even does this sometimes, but it's temporary. Some of his failed plans are not his fault, due to Smudge always talking about the plan accidentally.
12. He also proves to be very creative about his plans to fool Monica.
13. Angelica Santos did a beautiful job by voice acting Jimmy Five, becoming one of the most iconic works of her entire career. Kevin Vechiatto is also fantastic and the definition of perfect casting as his live-action counterpart.

Bad Qualities

1. Similar to Little Lulu's Tubby, sometimes he proves to be sexist to the girls.
2. He can be very rude and cruel on some occasions not only to Monica but also to his other friends, including his best friend Smudge trying to come up with plans to bathe him.
3. His teen version in Turma da Mônica Jovem is quite flawed, mainly when it comes to his romance with Monica. Thankfully, that was massively improved on the live-action universe.
4. Of course there are some people who hate him due to making fallible plans to get Mônica´s plush rabbit as well as calling her fatso, bucktooth, and many more.
5. He is sometimes shown as a Butt-Monkey, more notable with Nutty Ned and Monica.
   • Especially with Nutty Ned, most of the stories with him involve Jimmy Five playing innocently or doing something he likes to do, and suddenly Nutty Ned shows up and makes crazy things happen, usually unfavorable to Jimmy, which is very unfair and makes you If you think about what he did to deserve this. Likewise, his plans to become the owner of the street and catch Samson, they always fail in the same way, even though it is understandable that he tries to come up with these plans, as discussed in WHW #7
