"Talent is a flame. Genius is a fire." -Bernard Williams
These characters have legit genius IQs or are shown to have intelligent mindsets, and they put their gifted traits into good use, for better or for worse.
However, this doesn't automatically mean all geniuses as wise or as much as a brainiac like street-smart people exhibiting Mastermind levels of intellect and common-sense.
This category can also have "geniuses" that tend to be rather naive, incompetent, insane and even obsessed. A genius that is completely incompetent (heroes and villains alike), are shown to have failures that are exaggerated for comic effect or showcasing their flaws as geniuses despite their numerous talents as supposed masterminds (e.g Plankton, Wile E. Coyote, Dr. Robotnik, Mojo Jojo, Brain, Dr. Neo Cortex, Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Dr. Weird, and Loki.)
