Cricket Ernest Green is the main protagonist of Big City Greens. He is the second born and only son of Bill and Nancy Green, and is Tilly's mischievous and optimistic younger brother who has moved to Big City with his family to stay with his Gramma Alice.
Strengths
- For starters, Cricket is shown to be optimistic. Even when something goes wrong, he tries his best to stay positive. Sound familiar?
- Much like all the characters of the show, he has one of the most unique designs.
- He makes sure to write his wrongdoings:
- In the episode "Supermarket Scandal" when Bill explains to his kids about what happens if the citizens eat their fake foods, he along with his father and sister went out to retrieve the fake foods before anyone ate them, even if it meant risking a fat wad.
- In the episode "Filmflammed" he along with Gloria and his grandma sets out to out con the con man, thus ending in Gloria getting her rent money back.
- And let's not forget the episode where he helped his best friend come out of his shell. I mean if it weren't for Cricket, by now, Remy would still be at Boarding School.
- Speaking of Remy, he has a very believable friendship with him as they are both shown to help each other out when needed. Much like these two pairs of best friends.
- He is shown to quite brave and inspiring:
- In the episode "Cyberbullies" when The CyberKnights were bullying his friends, Cricket stood up for them by fighting the bullies and by an instant, his friends stood by him and defeating the bullies, showing they are done being pushed around.
- In the episode "Cricket Versus" while fighting his grandma in other to earn his family namesake, he realizes he doesn't have to because he feels and knows that he's part of the family, which teaches a good moral to kids who feel like they're outsiders.
- Overall, he can be pretty funny. Though not as funny as his sister Tilly.
Non-Strengths
- Though still likeable, he can be a bit too reckless sometimes.
- He's shown to be quite selfish and has a big ego.
- He can be quite unlikeable at times
- Like some members of the Green family, he is not well known for his singing voice.
- His voice does not fit him well. His voice actor, Chis Houghton, is 33 years old and Cricket is 10 years old.
