Disclaimer: This incarnation of Godzilla and the film it originates from is not real and is fan-made. Columbia Pictures never made this film or considered making it. None of the information (i.e. "This incarnation being one of the strongest Godzillas to date) is real either. This is an article set in an alternate timeline where this movie and kaiju existed.

Godzilla, also known by his Japanese name Gojira, is the titular antagonist of the 2006 film based on the Toho kaiju franchise of the same name.

Note: Since 1954, Godzilla has become a well known kaiju and is widely considered to be one of the best fictional characters ever made. In 1998, Tristar's American remake made by Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin was released and got very negative reception from critics, audiences, fans, even Toho themselves. The remake was so hated that Toho was forced to bring back Godzilla from a long hiatus after they killed him off in the last Heisei era Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, marking the start of the Millennium Era. After 1998, Sony made Godzilla: The Series, a follow-up to the 1998 remake after the two sequels were cancelled. They lost the rights in 2003, killing the sequels for good. They eventually still had the marketing rights, and released English dubs of the Millennium era. The next Godzilla remake would be made by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2014. This would not only be considered a better remake than the 1998 film, but it would prove that Hollywood would make a good Godzilla film. But what if Sony got the rights back from a doubtful Toho after Final Wars and released a remake in 2006? This idea of mine was in my head a long time.

    Why He is a God

    1. He is a very faithful incarnation of Godzilla, and manages to be better than Emmerich and Devlin's take of the character.
    2. His design is wonderful and is faithful to the original character design while putting a new spin to it.
    3. The CGI he's depicted in is actually decent, considering that this is from the same company that gave us the 1998 film.
    4. He is regarded as one of the strongest and most powerful Godzilla incarnations to this day, as he withstood attacks from the attacks but was also able to survive a head-on dive bomb from Gryphon who was moving at 100xFTL.
    5. He regains one of his most iconic abilities, the Atomic Breath, along with his strong durability. He also regains his portrayal as a force of destruction.
    6. He also has a bigger size, measuring at 400 feet (122 meters).
    7. The writers actually took a risk in changing his origin, depicting him as a bio-engineered kaiju created by the Atlanteans in ancient times. He was used by the underwater race to stop Gryphon, an alien-like daikaiju that was made by an unknown alien civilization to destroy other species and claim their territory as their own. The alien would never arrive as the alien civilization would go extinct when their planet was destroyed. He ultimately went into a long hibernation near an area which would be later known as Japan. In 1945, when Nagasaki was destroyed by a nuclear bomb, he would ultimately awake from his sleep. Being disturbed by the sound, he would go and destroy Tokyo in 1954 before resting again in the Arctic. Flash-forward in 2006, he would ultimately awake in an outpost that was made to study him, destroying it, and killing half of the employees and scientists assigned there, thus continuing his rampage on humanity.
    8. He has the most wonderful character development in this film as he goes from wanting to destroy all of humanity because of their tendencies to wage war on one another to forgiving humanity and seeing that not all of humanity are bad and that there is still hope.
    9. While his roar is reused from the Japanese Godzilla films, it is pitched deeper, along with a inhumane screech that is similar to the Kraken's roar in Clash of the Titans, which is awesome.

    The Only Bad Quality

    1. His origin being changed from an prehistoric creature mutated by nuclear radiation to a bio-engineered kaiju made by the Atlanteans can seem unnecessary to some.

    Trivia

    1. His origin was adapted from Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott's 1993/1994 script for Jan De Bont's version of the 1998 film.
    2. This Godzilla is the ninth incarnation of the character, and the second American Godzilla.
