Babar The Elephant is the main protagonist of a franchise of the same name, which involves a book series created by Jean de Brunhoff and Laurent de Brunhoff and an animated tv series based off of the book series. He is an elephant who was orphaned when a human hunter attacked a jungle he formerly lived in. He then managed to escape the jungle and ended up in a city in Paris, France where he is adopted by an Old Lady who he calls "Madame". After many years of living in the city, he returns to his home and introduces his fellow elephants to everything he has experienced while he was at the city. After the Old King dies of eating poisonous mushrooms, Babar is crowned King of the Elephants. He then brings change to the jungle by creating a city of elephants based off of the city he went to, naming it Celesteville after Celeste, his soon-to-be wife. As his reign of monarchy to the elephants, he faces tough decisions, zany adventures, suggestions from his advisors Cornelius and Pompadour (who was created for the animated adaption), advices from Mamdame, and conflict with Rataxes, ruler of the rhinos. When he became an adult, he marries Celeste, makes her queen, and has children of his own, Pom, Flora, and Alexander.
