Apple is a character who is featured on Cartoon Network’s The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange, based on his species of Apples from the original YouTube series, and he is voiced by Harland Williams. For a character from the AO franchise that only appeared in the TV show, he’s actually a good character.
Why He Rocks
- He's a good member of Cartoon Network’s family, as he's a very cautious and critical, but deep down good apple who is just facing the tough side of fruit life.
- Apple has a special gift of always coming back to life after death, similar to Kenny McCormick from South Park.
- His deaths are often funny and hilarious, and manage to be kid friendly.
- He does hang out with the gang on a few adventures, even if it means facing death again, which shows bravery every now and then.
- While he is annoyed by Orange like everyone else, he does feel bad when he thought he killed him in "My Name is Orange", which shows concern for him.
- He is probably one of the most relatable characters in the franchise, as he takes us back to how his family of apples faced their deaths through flashbacks of the YouTube series.
- He ends up saving the day sometimes, like getting Orange’s mold off of him by sending him into the graters, therefore, Orange is alive and everyone is happy.
- He has a few funny moments, like his deaths, and his overreaction to Orange staying alive.
- Harland Williams did a good job voicing him.
Midget Qualities
- Apple can be unlikable sometimes, such as pushing Orange in the graters in an attempt to kill him, even if that action did get Orange’s mold off and saved his life.
- He can be too negative sometimes, like doubting that Orange can save the day. His negativity gets to Little Apple, telling him not to give their species of fruit a bad name.
Trivia
- Ironically, Harland Williams was also the creator of the Disney Junior animated series Puppy Dog Pals.
