    "Amber alert! Amber alert!"-Amber

Amber is a recurring character of the Disney Channel TV series, Andi Mack. She was the main antagonist of the first season. She is a high school student who was dating a middle school boy, Jonah Beck. She has been going through a tough time at home because of her parents constantly fighting. She works as a waitress at The Spoon Diner to help support her family. Amber is portrayed by Emily Skinner.

    Why She Rocks

    1. Amber is another mean popular girl, but she's one of the few characters in that category to actually be likable, because she's well written, and she is deep, flawed, and relatable with her own personal struggles and arcs.
    2. "Amber alert! Amber alert!"
    3. Amber is introduced as Jonah’s girlfriend, and an enemy to Andi and her friends, and that's because she's afraid that Andi will steal Jonah away from her.
    4. The bad things she does, like making fun of Jonah’s team and leaving Andi trapped on a carnival ride, can be excused because she's insecure about her feelings and struggle to tell anyone about her problems.
    5. She does get her comeuppance for her bad actions, like Jonah breaking up with her, and everyone’s trust within her broken.
    6. When revealed she was working at The Spoon Diner, she reveals that her father lost his job, and so she started working to help her family’s financial issues. She's even seen selling her clothes when her salary wasn't enough, which make us sympathize with her.
    7. She tries her best to be friends with Andi and the others, and even after that fails, she reveals that she doesn't want to be a mean girl, but her life struggles makes that difficult.
    8. She starts therapy to help her with her problem, and her therapist, Cyrus’ step-mother, recommended taking with teens about her problems. She takes her advise and manages to have Andi, Cyrus and Buffy regain some of their trust, as she becomes Buffy’s frenemy, and becomes friends with Andi and Cyrus again, as well as Jonah when he reveals to her that he has money problems, and she helps him out like how he helped her.
    9. Her kindness shows more as the series progresses, like taking the blame for Andi when at the high school party, helping Cyrus master the choreo for his dance class, and hanging out with her friends more.
    10. She even shows Andi the rage cage, to help Andi release her anger like how she did whenever she's here. Andi also brought CeCe here to help release her anger thanks to Amber showing her. During that, Amber herself was there, and she talks with Andi about her relationship problems with Jonah.
    11. She and Jonah do break up for good, and she politely tells him to give her some space, so she can get used to the breakup, since she's still hurt when seeing him. Later, when Jonah goes to The Spoon and waits outside when she comes out, he tells her about his dad’s new job and they can afford an apartment, telling her she was there for him during his tough times. Amber thanks Jonah for the consideration, and has one of her co-workers get a milkshake for him, showing that deep down, she's still good friends with Jonah.
    12. By the end of the series, thanks to revealing her struggles and true kindness, Buffy is her frenemy, and she has a group of friends, being Iris, Jonah, Cyrus and Andi. Amber is even invited to Andi’s party during the finale, and during the party, she hold hands with Andi and they dance together, showing that they have truly become great friends.
    13. Emily Skinner did an amazing job playing as Amber, as she portrayed her with tons of emotion and realism.
    14. She is another mean girl created by Terri Minsky, but she is Andi Mack’s done right and well structured version of Lizzie McGuire’s terrible mh:loathsomecharacters:Kate Sanders.

    The Only Bad Quality

    1. She can be boring occasionally.
