Alice Zuberg (アリス・ツーベルク, Arisu Tsūberuku?) is the main tritagonist, later turned main protagonist in Sword Art Online: Alicization. She is the daughter of Rulid Village's chief Gasupht Zuberg, as well as the childhood friend of Eugeo and Kirito. Due to accidentally breaking a clause of the Taboo Index in her childhood, Alice was apprehended by Deusolbert Synthesis Seven and taken to the Central Cathedral, where she was forced to become an Integrity Knight, named Alice Synthesis Thirty, with her memories sealed.
Why She Rocks
- Alice is a skilled and fierce knight.
- She can be serious, she was also adventurous and even mischievous too.
- Her design is very pretty too, with creative knight armory, and a cape. Making it one of the best designs in the franchise.
- Even her design as a child gives it a nice Alice in Wonderland feel.
- Despite her calm demeanor, she's actually pretty strong and powerful. Knowing her weapon of choice, the Fragment Olive Sword can also transform into a tree, and it's capable of splitting into hundreds or even thousands of golden flakes of flower petals, each measuring less than a centimeter long.
- The sword's petals have an absurdly large weight, are capable of high-speed and unrestrained movement in the air and can become sharper than a slender sword’s tip. A single petal possesses a clout of a giant’s fist and is capable of splitting a rock into two or breaking the ground upon touch. The swarm of flower petals is controlled by moving the sword’s grip.
- Even in its regular state, the sword has an absurdly large weight and power, capable of easily repelling any sword that comes into contact with it in battle.

- The way she blushes is just too cute.
- Alice had one of the most badass entrances in the anime.
- She does get a lot of chemistry with other people:
- She's one of Kirito's childhood friends, is actually a big sister to him and Eugeo, even without any knowledge about her childhood, she gives up everything to fight for Kirito. Especially when he was in a coma, she took care of him.
- Alice grew up along with Eugeo and played around with each other back when they were children.
- While she and Asuna came off in the wrong foot, they got along with each other, as both agreed to help each other to win the war and stop Gabriel Miller.
- She later works her way into being the third main character after Kirito and Eugeo, and later takes over as the main lead during the second half of Alicization. She could also be considered the overall lead character of Alicization given her importance to the story and Kirito being put to the side.
The Only Bad Quality
- The way she looks, speaks, and fights, the main criticism is that she feels like a copy of Saber from the Fate series.
- However though, Alice's armor had been changed from silver to gold to avoid similarities.
Trivia
- Her voice actress, Ai Kayano, had also voice Shiro/Schwi Dola from the the No Game No Life series, Mashiro Shiina from The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, and Darkness from KonoSuba!
- Alice's birthday was chosen to be April 9 by the author to be one day apart from Eugeo's, as Rath desired at least two children born at around the same time to have more than one sample by which to judge Kirito's influence on Underworld residents.
