Touka Kirishima is the main female deuteragonist and a ghoul waitress at Anteiku and one of the main characters of Tokyo Ghoul. Touka wears a rabbit mask while hunting, earning her the alias Rabbit (ラビット, Rabitto). In Tokyo Ghoul, she was a second-year student at Kiyomi High School and later a third-year after the post-Aogiri timeskip.

Two years after the Owl Suppression Operation, she returns as the Manager (店長, Tenchō) of the coffee shop :re. Following its destruction she joins the newly formed organization Goat, thus relocating to the 24th ward along with its other members. After the Defense of Tokyo, Kaneki and Touka currently live happily married (which now makes her Touka Kaneki) with a daughter and another child coming, with humans and ghouls finally united together.

Why She Rocks

1. Touka is known as one of the most badass female characters in anime. Skilled protective, strong, caring, and everything a badass female character you will need.
2. She has her reason to be angry all the time. Pretty much almost every character in Tokyo Ghoul, she had a really rough childhood. She was once a happy child, but after losing her mother and father, being hunted down by ghoul investigators, it caused to change her.
3. Despite her rash attitude, she still acts like a big sister to both Hinami and her younger brother Ayato. Despite the fact that she was almost killed by her younger brother.
4. She has cute design and an emo hairstyle in part 1, but in :re, she has gotten much more beautiful, that even one of the ghoul investigators is stunned by her beauty.
5. Her Ukaku Kagune is very well designed, as it had a strong resemblance to flaming butterfly wings.
6. She never hesitates to avenge or rescue her loved ones. Such as Hinami's mother getting killed or Kaneki getting kidnapped.
7. She and Kaneki have a really good chemistry together.

Bad Qualities

1. While entertaining, Touka may treat Kaneki like crap sometimes.
2. She can get too feisty or stubborn when it comes to doing something, like fighting or doing errands. Although not as angry as Katsuki Bakugou from My Hero Acadamia.

Trivia

• Sui Ishida also revealed Touka's three sizes are "B82-W51-H84".
• Her voice actress Sora Amamiya, also voiced Aqua from KonoSuba!, Isla from Plastic Memories, Akame, Sumire Yoshizawa from Persona 5: Royal.
• Touka likes school life and rabbits, but hates ghoul investigators, dimwits, and classical literature.
• Touka canonically has black hair. However, due to the time it takes to ink, Ishida simply stated to "just imagine she has black hair."
  • According to Ishida, Touka's hairstyle isn't something you would see in real life.
• Touka appears to be bearing a second child with Ken Kaneki, as seen in :re Chapter 179, where in the last two pages she is holding her stomach which looks slightly bigger than usual.
• Touka is associated with the number "2," referring to the tarot card The High Priestess (II).
• Touka is featured as the "Ace of Clubs" in Tokyo Ghoul Trump.
• Touka's kagune can produce lightning-like bolts similar to Narukami, T-Human and Renji Yomo's kagune.
• Touka is bad at cutting hair where she has ruined the bangs of both Hinami Fueguchi and Yomo.
  • However, Kaneki says she is good at it after seeing Hinami's haircut in the anime.
• Touka bears many similarities with Schwi Dola from No Game No Life: Zero:
  • The two happen to be complex characters, sometimes wanting learn what it's like to be human, and warms ups to the protagonist. The main differences is Schwi is a kuudere (meaning cold and emotionless), and Touka on the other hand is a tsundere (meaning hotheaded or harsh).
  • Both are non-human, with Touka being a ghoul and Schwi being a robot.
  • Both have purple hair, wings and sometimes, red eyes.
  • Both have lovers with white hair (Touka having Kaneki, and Schwi having Riku.
    • With Kaneki and Riku, both have white hair (Riku's hair is natural, while Kaneki had his from being tortured by Jason), split personalities, and (formerly) lifeless, emotionless eyes.
    • Both had suffered too much, gone mentally insane, and lost people they cared about.
