Constantine, also known as "The World's Most Dangerous Frog", is the main antagonist of the 2014 film Muppets Most Wanted, the sequel to the 2011 film The Muppets.

He is the evil doppelgÀnger of the iconic Kermit the Frog, who is claimed to be the "Number One" criminal in the world. He and his subordinate/pawn, Dominic Badguy, formulated an evil plot to steal the crown jewels while he used his infamy as a useful tool to trick Kermit into being mistaken for Constantine and the show Kermit is running benefited Constantine in furthering his goal.

He was performed and voiced by Matt Vogel.

Why He Is World's Most Dangerous Frog and Number One Criminal

    1. While he is diabolical, cocky, malicious, cunning, and deceptive, his jerkish moments and cruel actions are often played for comedy, which makes him more fun to watch as a villain.
    2. The way he is introduced by escaping the prison he was locked in, the Siberian Gulag, is very awesome and hilarious to watch.
    3. He relishes in his criminal status, and wants to steal the famous Crown Jewels of England to ensure that his name will go down in history as "Greatest Thief of All Time".
    4. Given the cartoonish and goofy nature of The Muppets overall, even within his comedic moments, he is still one of the franchise's most dangerous and ruthless villains, next to Doc Hopper.
    5. As such, he manages to be a humorous and over-the-top yet intimidating character that the Muppets still take seriously as a formidable threat that needs to be reckoned upon. Especially for how astute he actually is with hiding his real identity from Kermit's friends and later using his infamy against them.
    6. He is shown to have a high level of competence as a villain, these include him escaping jail with weaponry, stealth & physical combat.
      • His reputation for blowing up the prison he escaped from is what made the Muppets fear him as "the world's most dangerous frog".
      • He managed to successfully frame Kermit single-handedly into being Constantine, all by slapping a mole onto Kermit's face when he got to meet up with Kermit in person, this got Kermit sent to the prison Constantine escaped from, the Siberian Gulag.
      • He was smart enough to hide his real identity from Kermit's friends through subtle manipulation tactics, even after Walter and Fozzie later found out what he used to trick them and Kermit's friends entirely.
        • Constantine is only polite because he needs to be to keep the Muppets on his side.
      • He is willing to manipulate, incriminate, and even commit mass murder in order to steal priceless jewels simply for the fact that he can.
    7. Matt Vogel does a great job voicing and puppeteering him in an extremely charming and cartoony fashion.
    8. He, alongside The Grinch, is a perfect example of how to make a "love-to-hate" type of villain done right.
      • One of the biggest reasons for this includes him providing a series of comedic and entertaining moments that make up for his villainous, ruthless, and underhanded actions.
        • His villainous partnership with Dominic Badguy is downright entertaining. As they work together while having a level of rivalry that makes them engaging, like how Constantine has a superiority complex while Dominic seeks to be number one.
    9. His very own musical number, "I'm Number One", is very entertaining and hilarious to watch.
    10. His defeat is extremely energetic, satisfying, and funny to watch.
    11. He provides plenty of clever, funny, entertaining, and quotable phrases and lines that include:
      • "Let's dance!"
      • "It's time to light the lights."
      • "Of course not. This is child's play for frog of my talent."
      • "We are now positioned to carry out greatest burgl-burgl- (Dominic: Burglary) Yes. Of all time and pin it on those gullible Muppets, who will spend the rest of their miserable lives behind bars."
      • "Pig, I have question. Am I wearing sign that says "BOTHER ME"?!"
      • "You are forgetting one thing, small man with glasses. I can give you what you want."
      • "Well, as the old saying goes... the show must continue, in a timely fashion."
      • "You have wocka-ed your last wocka, bear."
      • "Yea-a-a-a-a-a-a-esss! Hi-lo, Kyer-mit thee Frog here... Thee louvers, thee dreemers and chee-e-e-e-e-se! [smirks] Nailed it."
      • "That is right, Mappets! I am Constantine!! The world's most dangerous frog and number one criminal and a thousand times more frog than this Kermit person! And now, I have only one thing to say to you fools!! Goodnight folks! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!"
      • "First rule of double-cross. You don't announce the double-cross before you double-cross. It's not even a rule because it is so obvious. 'The Lemur' is literally the worst bad guy name I have ever heard!"
      • đŸŽ”"You may think that you're smarter/But I'm smarter than you/I'm number one/You're number two/You're lucky to be number two/Not number three/I can see by the look in your eye/You want to get a bigger piece of the pie/One day, you'll get your chance/But in the meantime, you've got to dance, monkey, dance!!"đŸŽ”

    Bad Qualities

    1. He's kind of a one-note evil mastermind type of doppelganger that'll be mistaken for Kermit.
    2. One of his most notable shortcomings includes his arrogance.
      • His ego and subtle lies have caused him to be prone to making minor mistakes when he attempts to perfectly imitate Kermit's characteristics after studying his past performances on a VHS tape.
    3. Despite being highly intelligent, he can be hypocritical when he doesn't like being touched when he can touch people whenever he feels like it, when he touched Miss Piggy is an example of this.
